Christmas 2010

Many thanks to all those who were able to make it to our Christmas performance on 9th December 2010. We performed at St James the Greater church in Leicester, which was packed out with 600 spectators! The show raised money for Rainbows Children's Hospice and was a real triumph!

Knighton Park Fun Day - 6th September 2010

Overdale Junior School Summer Fete - 3rd July 2010

A great turn out to a really crowded fete! Around 60-70 choirmembers performed for the crowds, singing South Australia, Gloria, Tears in Heaven, Where is the Love? and even Hey Now (after only two rehearsals!!) Many thanks to all the choirmembers who were able to turn up, we had great feedback from the audience and we've hopefully attracted some new members for our return after the summer!

Many thanks to the choirmembers who could make it to the fete, we had a lovely day with beautiful sunshine and everyone sang really well. We've had really positive feedback and it made for a great publicity event to attract new members.

Previous performances:

February 2010 gave the choir our second opportunity to perform in front of a large audience, when we performed as part of the Rotary Gala Concert at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall. The choir performed 4 songs including a song from our Junior choir and a joint song with the Lancaster School Choir. This show gave many people their first taste of performing in such a large venue, as well as a chance for the choir to show the people of Leicester how good we really are.

 

Christmas 2009 saw us filling the stage at St James the Greater church in Leicester for the Rainbows charity Christmas Concert. Around 160 members of the choir performed to a completely sold out audience of over 650 people. The response from the audience was excellent, and it made for a staggeringly successful first concert for a very new choir!
